Brighton Speedway Mid-Summer Scorcher Announced!
Brighton Speedway is proud to announce the first ever Mid-Summer Scorcher event on Saturday July 17th, 2010. This recently announced event will highlight Brighton Speedway’s top two classes against invaders from other tracks as they descend on Brighton’s 1/3rd mile clay oval to try and take home the big prize.
Brighton Speedway and some of our loyal sponsors are hosting a $1,500.00 to win 40 Lap Pro Late Model Open invitational and a $1000.00 to win 30 Lap IMCA/Canadian Modified invitational. Both races will take place on Saturday, July 17th along with additional laps and money for the Pro Stocks and the Comp 4 divisions.
Sponsors of the this first ever event include; Northumberland Tire, DL Environmental Services, Deerhaven Farm and Garden, Larry’s Towing, Hotch’s Auto Parts, Humber Nurseries Ltd. and Vanderlaan Building Supplies. “We are ecstatic we have such great supporters of the track, the drivers and racing in general in our area, these businesses that have chosen to be a part of this race are the backbone of grass roots motorsports” states Track General Manager Angela Rinaldi.
Canadian Modifieds and the new Pro Late Model Division have been sharing the headlines all season long at Brighton and this added event will now be a great showcase event for the 2010 season. The first ever Mid-Summer Scorcher takes place Saturday, July 17th when Free Flow Petroleum presents the Salute to Canadian Forces night where all military personnel are admitted free with ID.
